Bali Artisan Cutwork Quilt Bali cutwork. Women of the Kuna tribe perfected the intricate reverse-appliqué technique called "mola" that we used to create our unique Bali Artisan cutwork quilts. Each one requires thousands of hand stitches to outline the traditional patterns of circles, swirls and squares and to secure the hand-dyed coral-tone top layer and darker contrast backing.
