Note that where the Monticristi Fino is sold in this area of our website we add in the description that the hat can be hand blocked to one's size and trim specifications. We have arranged for some of the premier selected bodies to be blocked for our stock. We have chosen a Fedora style, a C-crown. These hats have a simple brown grosgrain trim and a roan leather sweatband with The Village Hat Shop embossment. The craft of the S. American weaver meets the craft of the North American hat maker, where the result is an exquisite hand made product.

nOn April 17, 2004 Tom Miller, author of THE PANAMA HAT TRAIL, spoke at our Hillcrest store in San Diego. This 1986 classic of travel literature and the hat industry was re-issued in 2001 by National Geographic Adventure Press with an introduction by Tony Hillerman. When Tom was here, we had him sign a number of copies for our customers. While they last, we will include a signed copy of THE PANAMA HAT TRAIL with the purchase of this hat.nn
