New York Cubans. 1920. Originally formed in 1895 among the waiters of the Argyle Hotel in Babylon, New York, the New York Cubans were a charter member of the Negro National League. Capable of playing all nine positions, the Cubans' Martin Dihigo was likely the most versatile player in the Negro Leagues. He later became a member of the Mexican, Cuban and U.S. Baseball Halls of Fame. Another Cuban of note was Luis Tiant Sr., who in 1947 at age forty-one helped pitch the New York Cubans to a league championship. Color: Black. Size: Adjustable.
